Weight of 3 Nomismata (Orichalcum, 20 mm, 13.66 g), a circular discoid coin weight with centering holes, plain edge, raised rims and the monogram of Phocas. Ṅ S with cross above; inlaid in silver. Rev. Monogram of Phokas; inlaid in silver. Bendall -. MAH -. Pera -. Scrape on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.

The monogram on the reverse of this interesting weight is identical to that of the emperor Phocas (602-610), but it could, of course, be that of any Phocas, which was a common name at the time
